Who they are
The Demisa are a small indigenous community in the Indonesian region of New Guinea, living in villages surrounded by dense tropical forests. Their way of life is deeply connected to the land, and they depend on traditional farming, fishing, and the natural resources around them. Although the Christian faith is part of community life, geographic isolation makes ongoing discipleship a challenge for this people.
