Who they are
The Eastern Tawbuid are an Indigenous people who inhabit the mountainous and forested regions of Mindoro Island in the Philippines. Part of the broader group known as the Mangyan, they preserve ancestral customs, a strong connection to the land, and rich oral traditions. Although historically sheltered in the mountains, much of the community has embraced the Christian faith and now lives out its spirituality through community life.
