Who they are

The Eduria are a small Indigenous people who inhabit the Amazon region of Colombia’s Vaupés department. Closely connected to the Barasana, they share rivers, communal houses, and deeply rooted ancestral traditions. As custodians of a rich cosmology expressed through oral narratives and sacred rituals, they face the ongoing challenge of protecting their territory and preserving their language and cultural identity amid changes in the outside world.
