Who they are
The Faita form a small community in Madang Province, in the upper Ramu River valley of Papua New Guinea. Their ancestral language, Kursav, is now remembered by only a few elders, while younger generations widely use Tok Pisin in everyday life. Village life revolves around traditional farming, fishing, and living in harmony with the tropical rainforest.
