People
Who they are
The Fali Vimtim, who call themselves Uvin or Vin, live in the town of Vimtim, north of Mubi, in Adamawa State, Nigeria. Their speech variety, Uroovin, is one of the varieties of Mubi Fali, also called Fali Muchella. The Mubi Fali speak different languages, but a shared initiation rite unites them. Most follow traditional religions, and there is a Christian minority. Some churches use the Bible in Hausa because they do not have one in Fali.
