Who they are
The Galong, also known as the Galo, are an indigenous people who live in the hills and valleys of northeastern India. They belong to the Tani family of peoples and preserve a rich oral tradition, strong community bonds, and a deep connection to their ancestral lands. Their festivals express gratitude for the harvests and preserve their people’s collective memory in their mother tongue.
