People
Who they are
The Giddikki form a traditional community in northern Karnataka, India, whose primary language is Konkani. Historically known for fortune-telling practices, today many families earn their livelihood from selling aluminum utensils as street vendors, daily wage labor, and agriculture. Collective life is organized by their own community councils and guided by Hindu devotions to deities such as Durga and Lakshmi, with no known Christian presence among them.

What to pray for
Intercede for this people
For open doors so that the gospel may reach Giddikki families in the Konkani language, their mother tongue.
For the sending of local Christians who will serve this community with humility, love, and respect for their history.
That the Scriptures, already translated into Konkani, may reach homes and touch the hearts of the Giddikki.
For the emergence of the first discipled families and small faith groups within the community.
Pray for Giddikki
Intercede for this people alongside Christians around the world.
