The Godie live in southwestern Côte d’Ivoire, in the Sassandra and Fresco areas and also in the Gôh-Djiboua region. They are part of the Kru peoples and speak Godié. Most identify as Christian, while a substantial proportion follow traditional religions. There is also an evangelical community among the Christians.
