People
Who they are
The Goo live in the Montagnes District of western Côte d’Ivoire, mainly in the Biankouma and Man areas. Their villages lie between areas where Dan and Toura are spoken. Goo is a language of the Mande family, closely related to these two languages but not mutually intelligible with either. The largest religious group follows traditional beliefs, and Christians and Muslims also make up substantial proportions of the people.
