The Groma inhabit the remote valleys of the Himalayas, in the region where Tibet, India, and Bhutan meet. Historically known for trade along mountain passes and for terraced agriculture, they preserve their own Tibetan language. Their community identity is deeply shaped by Tibetan Buddhist traditions and life in small high-altitude villages.
