Who they are

The Guajibo, also known as the Jiwi, are an Indigenous people who inhabit the savannas of the Llanos along the Meta, Vichada, and Orinoco rivers, between Colombia and Venezuela. Historically adapted to the river and forest environment, they keep their linguistic identity, rich oral tradition, and deep connection to their ancestral territory alive.
