Who they are
The Gula Iro inhabit the area around Lake Iro in southeastern Chad. Known for customs connected to fishing and farming, they maintain a strong ethnic identity and preserve their mother tongue. Although some of the population maintain ties to historic Christian traditions, access to clear, ongoing biblical discipleship remains very limited in the community.
