Who they are
The Gwich’in are an Indigenous people who live in the boreal lands and tundra of northern Alaska and northwestern Canada. Known for their deep ancestral connection to caribou and the Porcupine River basin, they preserve their Athabaskan language and centuries-old oral traditions. Although most have historical roots in traditional Christianity, there is a great need for a vibrant spiritual awakening in their remote villages.
