Who they are
The Harzani are an indigenous community established primarily in northwestern Iran, in the mountainous region of East Azerbaijan. Belonging to the Tati ethnolinguistic branch, they preserve a historical dialect of the Iranian plateau and live in rural villages dedicated to agriculture. Their identity and daily traditions remain deeply rooted in the Islamic faith and in a sense of mutual support among families.
