Who they are
The Hindu Sikligar form a community traditionally linked to metalworking and the craft of forging, polishing, and sharpening tools and blades. Scattered mainly across states in northern India, their members preserve a strong community identity, shaped by manual labor and local Hindu devotions. Family livelihood and traditions remain deeply rooted in their artisanal heritage.
