The Huallaga Quechua live on the slopes and in the valleys of the central Peruvian Andes, mainly in the Huallaga River basin. With a rich cultural heritage, they keep their language and their tradition of family farming alive. Although they identify strongly with the Christian faith, many traditional Andean beliefs and rituals remain part of their daily community life.
