Who they are
The Huitoto Murui are an Indigenous people of the Amazon Basin, concentrated mainly along the rivers of southern Colombia and northern Peru. Known for their rich oral tradition and deep connection to the forest, they preserve the Murui language and the custom of communal gatherings in the maloca, where elders pass on ancestral knowledge and strengthen community ties.
