Who they are
The Ibu are a small Indigenous group who live in the northern part of Halmahera Island, in the Moluccas, Indonesia. Traditionally connected to the land and subsistence farming, they preserve ancestral customs and a mother tongue of their own. Their community life is shaped by bonds of cooperation within their villages and respect for the traditions inherited from their ancestors.
