Who they are
The Ifugao Mayoyao inhabit the mountain slopes of northern Luzon in the Philippines and are known for cultivating rice on ancient terraces carved into the mountainsides. Deeply attached to their ancestral land and community ties, they preserve their history through the oral transmission of customs, songs, and traditional practices of mutual assistance in the fields.
