People
The Iria live in river and forest areas of West Papua Province, on the island of New Guinea. They are an indigenous community with a strong connection to the rivers and the natural environment around them, maintaining their Kamberau language and local customs.
Although the Christian faith has been present in the region for decades, the community still seeks a deeper knowledge of Scripture and local leaders equipped to disciple younger generations.
