Who they are
The Ivanga are an Indigenous community on the island of New Britain in Papua New Guinea. Living in villages surrounded by dense tropical forests, they maintain strong community ties and support their families through traditional farming and gathering. Although the Christian faith is part of life for most of the community, geographic isolation continues to pose challenges to discipleship and the development of mature local leaders.
