Who they are
The Jina are a small ethnic community in the Chad Basin, living mainly in the far north of Cameroon. Speakers of a Chadic language, they traditionally make their living through farming and fishing on the region’s river plains. Although most profess Islam, ancestral traditions and a minority Christian presence are also part of their lives.
