The Jomang are an indigenous community inhabiting the slopes and valleys of the Nuba Mountains in Sudan. Historically integrated into the rural networks of the region, they preserve their traditional customs while using Sudanese Arabic in daily life and trade. Their collective identity is deeply linked to the Islamic faith and to life in isolated agricultural communities.
