Who they are

The Kaburi are a small Indigenous community living in the forests of the Papua region of Indonesia. Traditionally making their living through family farming, hunting, and gathering, they preserve their own language and a way of life closely integrated with nature.

Although much of the community already identifies culturally with the Christian faith, access to biblical materials in their mother tongue remains limited, making biblical discipleship an ongoing challenge.
