Who they are
The Kahha, also called Phom Naga, live mainly in Nagaland in northeastern India. Most families grow their own food, with rice as the staple, and many weave and carve wood to sell. They have their own dances, music, and festivals, such as Monyu, held in April just after sowing, with feasts and dancing. Some families still honor their ancestors and perform rituals for nature spirits.
