Who they are
The Kakabai are an indigenous community who inhabit rural areas of Milne Bay Province in eastern Papua New Guinea. They preserve their native language and rely primarily on subsistence farming and forest and marine resources for their livelihoods. With deep community ties and a rich cultural heritage, the Christian faith is widely present in the daily life of their villages.
