Who they are

The Karawa are a small Indigenous community living in the forests of northwestern Papua New Guinea. Living in isolated villages with close ties to the land and the region’s rivers, they preserve oral traditions and deep family bonds. Although some of the people have already heard the message of the gospel, continued growth in biblical understanding and passing on the faith to younger generations remain key challenges.
