Who they are
The Karko are an indigenous people who inhabit the slopes and valleys of the Nuba Mountains in Sudan. Traditionally engaged in family farming and cattle raising, they maintain a deep attachment to their ancestral land and community ties. Although integrated into Nuba culture, they have their own language and an identity shaped by Islamic faith, with no known presence of Christians in their communities.
