Who they are
The Kemberano are an indigenous people who inhabit the coastal and riverine areas of the Bird’s Head Peninsula in West Papua Province. Living in traditional communities surrounded by forests and mangroves, they sustain themselves through fishing and harvesting sago. Although many profess the Christian faith, there is a great need for biblical discipleship to strengthen their spiritual walk.
