Who they are

The Kiballo are a small ethnic group living in Kaduna State in north-central Nigeria. Traditionally devoted to subsistence farming, they grow grains such as maize and sorghum as part of a daily rhythm of communal and family work. Their identity and traditions remain strongly tied to the land and their ancestors’ customs as they live alongside larger neighboring peoples and experience cultural pressure from them.
