Who they are

The Kiliwa are an Indigenous community from the northern Baja California Peninsula in Mexico. Guardians of ancestral traditions and a language of their own belonging to the Yuman family that is at severe risk of extinction, they face the challenge of keeping their cultural identity alive amid profound social changes and isolation in their historic homeland.
