Who they are

The Kohumono, also called Bahumono, live along the Cross River in southeastern Nigeria, in the Obubra area of Cross River State. They earn their living through fishing, farming, trade and public service. The Christian faith arrived in 1911, when Christians from the city of Calabar traveled along the rivers by canoe, bringing the gospel. Today most identify as Christians, and there are also followers of traditional religions.
