People
The Komi-Permyaks are an indigenous people with Finno-Ugric roots who inhabit the forests and riverbanks near the Ural Mountains in Russia. Historically connected to farming, forestry, and rural life, they maintain their own language and a strong appreciation for community life.
Despite the region’s centuries-old traditional Christian heritage, many remain distant from a living faith, retaining ancestral forest beliefs and needing a personal encounter with the gospel.
