People
Who they are
The Korana, or Koranna, live in the Northern Cape in South Africa. They descend from the Khoikhoi and were traditionally nomadic cattle herders and hunters. Today, almost all their descendants speak Afrikaans, English, Sesotho or Tswana, and the old Kora language has almost disappeared. Most identify as Christians, while some follow traditional religions. Evangelicals make up a smaller share.
