The Kunfal are a small indigenous community living in the areas west of Lake Tana, in Ethiopia. Closely tied to peoples of Agaw tradition, they preserve ancestral customs and agricultural life in the highlands. Although most profess the traditional Christianity of the region, many still long for a personal, living understanding of the faith in their mother tongue.
