Who they are
The Kwesten are an Indigenous people living in the northern part of the island of New Guinea, in Indonesia’s Papua province. Living in riverside and forest communities, they preserve their traditional language and community ties rooted in the land. Although much of the population identifies with the Christian faith, many still lack in-depth discipleship and resources in their own mother tongue.
