The Lame are an ethnic group living mainly in Bauchi State, in north-central Nigeria. Traditionally engaged in subsistence farming and community life in rural villages, they preserve ancestral customs and their own language. Although the majority of the community professes the Islamic faith, there is an active Christian presence among them.
