Os Lao Mai são um pequeno grupo indígena do Laos, no Sudeste Asiático, pertencente à família linguística Mon-Khmer. Vivem em aldeias rurais nas regiões montanhosas, onde mantêm forte ligação com a terra e com os costumes ancestrais. Sua vida comunitária é guiada por crenças animistas tradicionais, e o povo permanece quase totalmente sem contato com as Boas-Novas de Cristo.
