Os lasgerdi são uma pequena comunidade autóctone estabelecida na província de Semnan, no norte do Irã. Guardiões de uma língua própria do ramo iraniano e com raízes nas antigas rotas comerciais da região, preservam costumes locais centenários e uma identidade profundamente ligada ao islã xiita, permanecendo praticamente sem contato com a mensagem do evangelho.
