Who they are

The Lesing are an Indigenous people who inhabit the New Britain region of Papua New Guinea. Living in villages closely connected to the tropical forest, they preserve their oral traditions and community ties through the Amio-Gelimi language. Although most of the population professes the Christian faith, the current challenge is to grow spiritually and put the gospel into practice in every area of life.
