Who they are
The Malaweg are an indigenous people who inhabit the Cagayan River valley in northern Luzon in the Philippines. Making their living by farming and preserving strong community ties, they maintain a cultural identity rooted in local dialects and the heritage of the peoples of the river valleys. Although Christianity is part of their history, many still blend traditional beliefs with the Christian faith and need deep, transformative biblical discipleship.
