Who they are
The Marengge are a small Indigenous group from Papua province in Indonesia. Living in traditional villages surrounded by tropical rainforest, they draw their livelihoods from the land and communicate in their mother tongue, Dineor. The community preserves strong family ties and traditional customs characteristic of the peoples of the island of New Guinea.
