People
Who they are
The Marfa live in the Ouaddaï region of eastern Chad, in villages near the Marfa Mountains. They speak their own language, also called Marfa. Many grow millet near their villages during the rainy season. Most are Muslim, but there are small minorities of Christians and followers of traditional religions.
