Who they are
The Maricopa, traditionally known as the Piipaash, are an Indigenous people originally from the river regions of the southwestern United States, in the state of Arizona. With a rich heritage rooted in agriculture and traditional pottery along the Gila River, they keep their communal identity alive, preserving the memory of their ancestors while facing the rapid changes of modern society.
