Who they are

The Marubo are an Indigenous people belonging to the Pano language family who inhabit the forests of the Javari Valley in the far west of the Brazilian Amazon. Known for their rich oral tradition, poetic songs, and clan-based social organization, they preserve a deep knowledge of the forest and keep their language alive while facing growing influences from the outside world.
