Who they are
The Mescalero Apache are an Indigenous people native to the southwestern United States, living mainly on their mountainous reservation in New Mexico. Historically known for their adaptability, they preserve traditional ceremonies and strong family ties. Although many have contact with Christian churches, they seek to reconcile their cultural heritage with their faith, keeping their language and attachment to their ancestral land alive.
