The Miao Baishi live in rural areas of Guizhou province in southwestern China. Although officially recognized as part of the Miao nationality, they maintain their own distinct traditional clothing, customs, and language. Their daily life centers on agricultural work and a close-knit community life, in which they deeply honor the memory of their ancestors.
