Who they are
The Micha are an indigenous people of Tibeto-Burman linguistic roots who inhabit the mountain slopes of Yunnan Province in southwestern China. Officially classified within the Yi nationality, they preserve their Miqie language and their own rituals. Their identity is marked by communal labor on the land and by spiritual traditions linked to ancestor worship and the elements of nature.
