Who they are
The Miyako Ryukyuans are an indigenous people living in the Miyako Islands in the far south of Japan. With cultural roots distinct from those of the rest of the country, they preserve a rich island tradition and a language of their own that is now at risk of disappearing. Their identity is deeply connected to the local community, the land, and their longstanding reverence for their ancestors.

What to pray for
Intercede for this people
