Who they are
The Mizo Fanai live mainly in Mizoram, in northeastern India, and are one of the groups of the Mizo people, who speak the Mizo language. In the traditional organization of Mizo villages, the Fanai were among the clans that had chiefs. Today, most are Christians. Marriages are between people from different clans and include a payment to the bride’s family, which strengthens alliances between clans.
